It includes the upgrades to the Northshire Lift Station including electrical work and new piping and valves, construction of approximately 10,000 linear feet of 16" force main, 5,600 linear feet of 24" gravity sewer line, and replacement of 2,300 linear feet of 27" gravity sanitary sewer line. The improvements also include replacing the siphon that crosses Garner's Bayou into the Wastewater Plant Engineers — RPS — Klotz Associate, Inc. Contractor — V&S Construction Status — During the month of February, contractor's completed 4,031 linear feet of 18 in C-900 DR 18 sewer pipe City of Houston Inter -Connect #2 Project Description - City of Houston Surface Water Inter - Connect #2 This project will bring surface water from City of Houston to City of Humble Water Well # 6 Engineers — ARKK Engineers Contractor —1SJ Underground Utilities, LLC Status — During the month of February, contractors installed 100 feet of 36 inch casing and 100 feet of 20 inch C900 water pipe. South Houston Road Widening & Reconstruction Project Project Description - Project involves improvements to widen the existing 2-lane asphalt roadway to a 3-lane concrete curb and gutter roadway. Drainage improvements include installation of underground storm sewers, inlets and ditch regrading. It also includes a new traffic signal system. Engineers — ARKK Engineers Contractor — Status — Engineering 90% complete Coordinating with Centerpoint and private utilities for relocation of utilities. Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Phase 6 Pro_ject Project Description - Project involves replacement and rehabilitation of several deteriorated sanitary sewer line segments throughout the City. Engineers-- ARKK Engineers Contractor — King Solution Services, LLC Status — Construction in progress During the month of February, King Solutions completed the following: 5,264 linear feet of 8-inch HDPE pipe bursting Installed 60 4-inch service connections, 1 6-inch service connection, and 1 4-feet diameter manhole Meeks and Manning Road Paving and Drainage Improvement Proiect Proiect Description - Project involves milling and overlaying the existing asphalt streets and regrading and installing roadside drainage culverts, new water line and fire hydrants along Meeks Road. Engineers-- ARKK Engineers Contractor — Status — Engineering 75% complete Awaiting meeting with Mr. Mittag McDup-ald, Sharon Dr., and Carolyn Ct. Road Reconstruction Proiect Project Description - Project consists of replacing the existing asphalt streets with concrete curb and gutter streets, and will include replacing the water line and fire hydrants along McDugald. Engineers — ARKK Engineers Contractor — Ballast Point Status — Ballast Point Construction installed all tree protection barriers on Mcdugald from Wilson to Houston, Carolyn Ct from Windswept to Ferguson and Sharon from Mcdugald to Montgomery. Removal of existing pavement, curb and gutter on East and West bound sides of Carolyn Court from Ferguson to Windswept is complete. Concrete paving on the East bound lane of Carolyn Ct from Ferguson to Windswept is complete except for the curb. On the West bound side of Mcdugald, Ballast Point removed existing pavement, curb and gutter from Houston to Ferguson and poured concrete paving from station Houston to Ferguson. Concrete paving is on hold from Houston to Ferguson pending sanitary sewer testing for the new manholes and sewer lines. Ballast Point began removing existing pavement on the East bound side of Mcdugald from Ferguson to Windswept. The following work was completed on the sanitary sewer and water lines: 3801inear feet %J Bin SDR 26 3 4-foot manholes installed 9 6-inch service connections 812 linear feet of 8in C-900 DR 18 16 inch Water line from Well 6 to Well 9 Proiect Description - Project will provide a 16" surface water line to connect Well 6 (Rankin Rd) to the ground storage tank and booster pumps at Well 9 (Carpenter Rd). This will allow the surface water to be provided from 3 of the City's well sites Engineers — ARKK Engineers Contractor — Status — Engineering 100% Complete. Pending HCFCD permit Will go out for bid in March 2025 Traffic Signal Equipment Upgrades Project Project Description - As part of the City's on -going traffic signal maintenance, City staff has identified three (3) existing signalized intersections with outdated and deteriorating equipment in need of replacement and upgrades. The intersections included with this project are: • S Houston Avenue at Isaacks Road N Houston Avenue at Townsen Blvd W Townsen Blvd at Walmart entrance drive Engineers-- ARKK Engineers Contractor — Larry Young Paving Status — For the month of February Larry Young Paving has pulled and hung wire for the ped poles and radar at Townsen and Walmart driveway. Wire has been pulled and hung at Townsen and N Houston for the radar, and at Isaacks and Houston the concrete foundation and pull box has been poured and the wire has been pulled and hung for radar. As of the end of February construction is delayed while waiting on the control cabinets to be built.
